How does the Dumpster Rental Process Work?

Drop off and Delivery

Once you've shopped around a bit and you've found that Haul'n Off offers the best price, it's time to schedule a delivery date and time. Every company is different some you will have to call and ask for their availability while others offer fast convenient online booking. Contact the company of choice and let them know when you need your dumpster.

If they can't provide the dumpster when you need it, you will likely want to call Haul'n Off (I know shameless plug, just thought we'd save you some time). When scheduling  your delivery, make sure you express clearly where on your property you would like the dumpster placed. In the City of San Diego if a Dumpster is placed on the street the home owner will need to purchase a permit. A good dumpster rental company will do their best to protect your property during delivery and pick up by placing something between the dumpster and your driveway/walkway. Always make sure the work site is ready when the dumpster arrives. Having a driver wait for an extended period of time could cost you in additional fees.

Loading Your Dumpster

Once your dumpster is where you need it, it's time to load it up with all your waste or debris.

We recommend packing it tightly to get the most out of your rental. Some items can be large and bulky its best to break these items down to make room for other waste.

Schedule Pick-Up

Once you’re done using your dumpster, contact the rental company to let them know you’re ready for it to be picked up.

When they arrive, they’ll pick up your dumpster, pull it back onto their truck, and haul it off.
